Who We Are

We are Elise Edwards and Shane Dekker. Elise is also a part of Nightquest Bullmastiffs, a highly successful kennel established in 1995.

Shane purchased his first Samoyed 'Kovu' from Kalaska Samoyeds in 2015 and decided to give showing a go. Kovu didn't quite make it as a show dog which was a great excuse to buy another dog. In 2016, Shane bought another Samoyed from Kalaska- 'Kiara.' She was a much more successful show dog and did extremely well as they both learned the ropes of showing together. Elise and Shane met in 2017 and purchased another Samoyed from Kalaska in 2018- Gus. Gus exceeded all of our expectations and to this day has been the most successful show dog of them all. He is over half way to his "SUPREME" title and is one of the top winning Samoyeds in Victoria currently. It wasn't until 2020 that Elise and Shane decided to finally breed their own Samoyed litter and registered the "LOHNRO" prefix- named after the famous horse 'Lonhro' (a second hobby we enjoy). We bred Kiara with the hopes of producing another girl to show and continue our prefix on with. The sire was a successful show dog from QLD 'Sup. Ch Snerzok Forged In Steele' and of course they had 2 baby boys. Of course we kept one, and called him 'Marty'- Lohnro Back To The Future. Fast forward 18 months and a few hundred lockdowns, and Marty has won a lot of ribbons along the way. He has won numerous class in group and class in show awards and has almost achieved his Australian Championship title. In June 2022, we decided to breed Kiara one last time and cross our fingers that she would produce a girl to continue our kennel on with. This time, the sire was Multi BIS/Multi BISS C.I.B. Aust SUP CH. ITL CH. SWISS CH. FIN CH. HR CH. Lunasea Love Me Like Money (AI) 'Lucifer' and we are so thrilled to say our dream came true and have multiple girls to choose from. As you may know, breeding is not an easy job, and Elise who is a full time teacher and Shane who owns a small landscaping business have to take off work to sleep, feed, toilet and pretty much breathe puppies for 8 weeks. Therefore, our puppies are our absolute babies and we will do everything we can to ensure they end up in the best of hands.
